Two small things: how this website treats you, and how our private Pinterest tool, Reva, handles data.

This website

The Eclectica is a static website — writing and pictures. There are no accounts to sign up for, no forms to fill in, and nothing to buy. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and gathers no personal information about the people who visit. The pages are served by our host (Netlify), which keeps the ordinary technical request logs any web server does, for security and reliability. If you write to hello@theeclectica.com, we keep your message only so we can reply — you won’t be added to a list, and your details won’t be passed to anyone.

Reva — our private Pinterest tool

For Reva, our private analytics & strategy tool · Effective 13 July 2026

Reva is a private, single-user tool operated by the owner of The Eclectica (theeclectica.com) to analyse and develop strategy for this brand. It is not a public product and is used only by the account owner.

What data it accesses

When the owner connects their Pinterest account, the tool uses the Pinterest API on a read-only basis to access data belonging to the owner’s own Pinterest account only:

• Account analytics — impressions, engagements, saves, pin clicks, and follower count.
• Basic pin and board information for the owner’s own account.

It does not access, request, or store any other Pinterest user’s data, and it cannot post, pin, edit, or change anything on Pinterest — access is read-only.

How the data is used

The data is used solely to help the account owner understand how their own content is performing and to plan strategy for their own brand. It is not used for advertising, profiling of others, or any purpose beyond the owner’s own analysis.

How it is stored & shared

• Data is stored in a private, access-controlled database and protected by authentication. API keys and tokens are held server-side only and are never exposed publicly.
• The data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party.
• Pinterest access tokens are used only to retrieve the owner’s own analytics and are not disclosed to anyone.

Retention & revoking access

Data is retained only for as long as the owner uses the tool. The owner can revoke access at any time from Pinterest (Settings → Security and permissions → Apps), after which the tool can no longer read any data. Stored data can be deleted on request.
